50 Percent of Food is Wasted Causing Water, Food and Hunger Crisis, says the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).

All around the world, 50% of the food is wasted. The target by 2025 would be to cut down wastings by half.
